39°N: We Met With the Developer Today. Here's What You Should Know.

Earlier today, Strong North Tahoe representatives sat down with Kings Barn (the 39 North developer) and Placer County. We asked direct questions — and got some important updates.

They’ve revised the design and lowered the building height. But the deeper question remains: Is the public being included in the process, or just informed once decisions are made?

When asked how the community can meaningfully participate, the developer said:
“If somebody wants to talk to me, I’m open to it.”

Stephanie Holloway from Placer County added:
“We just got sort of the thumbs up from TRPA three weeks ago... We need to move forward with this project.”

The message is clear: The project is moving fast — and if we want to shape it, we need to act now.
