Hi Strong North Tahoe Member,

Join Strong North Tahoe this Tuesday, June 24 at 1:40 PM in Kings Beach for a pivotal Placer County Board of Supervisors vote on the 39° North incentive proposal.
The County is being asked to approve:
  • 106 Tourist Accommodation Units (TAUs)
  • A $1.55 million forgivable loan
  • Up to $30.9 million in TOT tax rebates
  • A multi-year Option Agreement on public land
All before CEQA review has started, with no development agreement in place, and no enforceable public benefits guaranteed.

🛑 Why This Matters

This vote could set a lasting precedent for how Placer County uses public land, taxpayer dollars, and incentive programs in North Lake Tahoe. These tools should support ready, transparent projects—not early-stage deals that skip public safeguards.
