π North Tahoe Event Center, Kings Beach
The Placer County Board of Supervisors is meeting in Kings Beach. Several items affect local fire safety, housing, and transportation.
π Relevant items include:
- Fire Fee Updates (9:30β9:40 a.m.)
Annual updates to fire district fees for North Tahoe, Alpine Springs, and Truckee. These fees help fund stations, equipment, and emergency response.
- Highway 89 & 267 Plan (9:50 a.m.)
Presentation on draft plan to fix traffic and safety issues on two of our busiest roads. Public input will help shape what gets built and when.
- Launchpad Housing Program (10:30 a.m.)
New financial help for locals who want to buy a home in exchange for a deed restriction that keeps the home for locals.
- Dollar Creek Crossing Update
Board will hear next steps for this 100% affordable housing project on county-owned land near Tahoe City.
- SB125 State Transportation Funds
Approvals to send over $15 million to TRPA and PCTPA to support transit, traffic, and active transportation improvements in the region.
- Kings Beach & Tahoe City Crossing Guards
County is hiring a contractor for pedestrian flagging services to make crossings safer in town centers.
- Fanny Bridge Project Agreement
Continuing support for a long-planned project to improve traffic flow and bike/ped safety in Tahoe City.
- TRPA Housing Amendment Environmental Work
Funds to move forward environmental review for changes that could allow more affordable housing in Tahoe Basin.
