Monday, June 24 – 39° North Project Hearing (1:40 PM)
North Tahoe Event Center, Kings Beach
On June 24, the Placer County Board of Supervisors will decide whether to give millions in public money—and valuable Kings Beach land—to the 39° North hotel-condo project before essential safeguards are in place.
Why this matters:
- No completed environmental review (CEQA).
- No proven financing or guarantees.
- No agreement on measurable public benefits.
Our community deserves growth that’s local-first, transparent, built in manageable phases, and clearly beneficial—not blank checks.
More than 40 neighbors have already asked the Board to pause this deal until it meets those standards.
Your voice is critical—act today:
- Attend & speak at 1:40 PM
(Agenda item: Tourist Accommodation Unit Transfer & Rebate Option Agreement. Arrive early to fill out a speaker card.)
- Prepare your remarks in minutes with our
Comment Builder
(draft talking points only; it does not submit comments).
- Stay involved—
join the 39° N Action Group.
Let’s make sure Kings Beach grows the way we want it to.
I am unable to attend the meeting in person. Is there a way a Zoom Meeting could be setup for today’s meeting?
Thanks,
Dave Miller
